Harvey Dent, also known as Two-Face, is a character from DC Comics. His first appearance was in *Detective Comics* #66 (August 1942).

Dent began as Gotham City's district attorney, a bright and idealistic crusader against organized crime. He formed an alliance with Batman and Commissioner Gordon to combat the city's corruption.

However, during a trial, mob boss Sal Maroni threw acid in Dent's face, horribly scarring the left side. This disfigurement shattered Dent's psyche, leading to a split personality and a descent into madness. He adopted the moniker "Two-Face" and began making decisions based on the flip of a two-headed coin, one side scarred to match his face. Good or bad outcomes are determined by the coin flip.

As Two-Face, Dent became one of Batman's most tragic and dangerous adversaries, embodying the duality of good and evil.
